ON-LINE DISPATCH MONITORING SYSTEMS “PACK-LINK”
Technocem had developed its state of the art software”PACK-LINK”.This is multiuser software, which can integrate upto 8 Packers of a Cement Packing Plant. to a single PC.A plant engineer can observe the status of ach Packer along with all its Spouts. Whenever a spouts discharge filled bags, the software captures it’s displayed weights alongwith no. of bags discharged from this spout, deviation from the target weight and this information can be displayed in the eye soothing MS Excel format, Bar charts, Graphs for the presentation purpose. This Software employs SQL database, which can store the dispatch data for upto six months and any desired data can be accessed by merely submitting a query.
The software also indicates that in a plant, which Packer is facing shortfall in the output and erratic weights in addition to any particular spout. These informations indicate the status of the faulty packer/spout to the plant engineer, so that they can be attended immediately or during the preventive maintenance depending on the extent of malfunctioning.
PACK-LINK has an inbuilt feature of checkweighing/Bad Bag Tracking. By virtue of this feature, a user can set a lower limit and the upper limit for a 50.00Kg bag to be dispatched.E.g if the lower limit has been kept -500 Gms and upper limit has been set at +600 Gms, then any bag weighing less than 49.50 Kg and over 50.60 Kg shall be tracked down by the software. The software shall initialize a DIDO (Digital Input and Digital Output) card, which will provide a signal of 24 VDC/230VAC against this event. This signal can be used for driving a bag diverter or the belt tripping as soon as this bag gets discharged from the Packer on the belt and the faulty bag shall be rejected or will be identified immediately. This function prevents the dispatch of underweight and overweight bags into the market.
We have successfully installed this system at Ambuja Cements Ltd, ACC Ltd., Grasim Industries Ltd. and J.P.Industries where these are running without any problem since last 6-7 years (around 15 locations).
This type of job was first done successfully at C. Cements India in the year 1999 and till now we have upgraded over 19 packers.
Conversion of old Mechanical/Pneumatic Packers to Electrical Packers
Technocem has facilities for converting old rotary mechanical Packers to the new type electrical/electronic rotary Packers. This type of job was done successfully at chariot Cements in the year 1999.
Conversion of old electronic Packers to new modified electronic Packers
